Mural Mural on the Walls synthesizes powerful and lasting relationships by empowering communities to create art, partnering with institutions to promote public display.

Community art produced by Mural Mural on the Walls are vividly reflected within this Gallery. The gallery includes art made by seniors at Frederick Douglass Senior Center, JASA Senior Alliance, teen participants at East River Community Center and Sheepshead Nostrand, children from East River Community Center and adults in transitional housing at Goddard Riverside Community Center. Artist Groups are led by Artist Jennifer Wade, and art projects are curated by artist Patrick Dennis.

Participants from the following Centers engaged in the workshops and contributed art tiles: Frederick Douglass Senior Center, Goddard Riverside Community Center, East River Community Center, Sheepshead Nostrand Community Center, JASA Senior Alliance.

Partnering Organizations Include: NYCHA Dept. of Community Operations, Harborview Visual Arts Program, The New York Department For the Aging, The Brooklyn Arts Council, The New York Department of Cultural Affairs. Funding in part came from New York City Housing Authority, Council Person Melissa Mark Vivierto, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, Assemblyman Daniel O'Donnell, and State Senator Bill Perkins.
